Bob Capaldi

Verbo Cuenca

Bob comes from Carmel, NY where he co-pastored in a local church called The Mission Church. Bob felt the call to extra-local ministry when he visited his friends John and Marilyn Guido who were starting a church plant in Cuenca, Ecuador in 1989. Bob, with his wife, Lauren, and their four children joined the small work in 1990. That work has grown to a church of 1700 believers. The church has a variety of ministries reaching out to the community; Family Medical Foundation, Compassion International, Family Radio Station (the first 24 hour a day Christian radio), and other outreaches. As a result, new churches have sprung up in several different cities in Ecuador and have joined together to form a network called Verbo Ministries. Bob is currently director of an apostolic council that covers the 26 Verbo churches in the region. He is also part of the Verbo International Council that oversees churches from Canada, the US, Central and South America.
