LifeLine Punduru: October 2020
Prince Tommy Williams reports from Sierra Leone that our marvelous heavenly Father is bringing whole community change to the village and surrounding area of Punduru. Remarkably, God is bringing in His Kingdom, not only into the economic life of the community, but also into the political and spiritual life, too.
The church is growing, personally and numerically (they have moved to a larger venue), and God is bringing wonderful stories of individuals and families being changed by the power of His Holy Spirit. And all of this in the context of the existing Islamic culture. There are stories of marriages being healed and prayers for pregnancies dramatically answered.
Economically, God has brought fresh wisdom to the team and villagers, leading them to be trading in palm oil, developing crops such pineapple, cassava, and banana, with new insight into cocoa bean improvements. 11 acres of cocoa have been planted so far, and the success of the village has now attracted government funding for paid teachers to be employed in the local school.
LifeLine continues to be central in the civic life of the area, with Prince Tommy Williams being called upon to be the negotiator between communities. Held in high respect, Prince is bringing Kingdom principles such as integrity and righteousness into community decision-making and disputes. However, please pray for Pa Lassie, one of the central leaders who has publicly declared he is following Jesus, as he is currently sick.
