2020 has proved to be a year of learning for us in Paris with the church and ministry going digital through YouTube and Zoom sessions. Most of our members (my wife Rebecca and myself included) have been preserved from the pandemic. Though church activities came to a slowed pace, I was very involved in the French Protestant chaplaincy ministry during the whole time. With clear authorization from the French hospital group, I’ve been able to freely travel to the hospitals to meet and minister to dying, intensive care and palliative care patients and their families, officiating during COVID-19 funeral services to bring comfort to loved ones, as well as bringing Christmas cheer of Christ’s love to the geriatric and mental illness wards.
This coming year brings a new challenge as John is named to overseer for the hospital chaplaincy radio program in the airwave of the Fréquence Protestante, the official French Protestant radio. We covet and desire your prayers as we enter steadily into a new season and we thank you for your friendship and support in the AIM family. May God show His abundance and grace to you all in this new Christmas and New year season!
